15 tips to be positive and happy
To keep yourself positive, you need to broaden your vision.
You need to understand things and know people and situations around you. There
may be a lot of problems/challenges, but you need to focus on the opportunities
that come with those challenges. You need to take initiatives and try to solve
problems that you can. Gradually you will gain confidence and this will raise
your self-esteem and help in being positive.
1-Don't expect.
Expectations take many
forms and they always lead to disappointment. If you expect what you want, this
is hope and it is based on lack. If you expect what you don’t want, this is
resistance and it is based on fear. Both are desires in Buddhism and it causes
suffering because such are perceived with the understanding of not already
having them.
2-Practice loving indifference.
This is the opposite of
holding an expectation and it is the attitudinal equivalent of an engaged the detachment that is synonymous with unconditional love and the nature of
Awareness. Hold no preference for or against any happening. If you hold no
preference, your peace will not be upset and you will be able to handle
anything with poise.
3-Align your actions with your values.
Embody the necessary
habits that you value as a whole. If you are acting in alignment with what you
believe and know to be right and true for you, this will cultivate a subtle
appreciation for everything you do. This is not necessarily a positive state,
but neither is happiness, which is not positive or negative.
4-Always listen to your
gut instincts, keep praying for the correct guidance and associations in life
and believe in yourself.
5-Think positive in all
situations and talk to yourself once in a day and keep your mind strong and
confident under all
circumstances.
6- does not tell your personal
problems to everyone, nobody cares! Everyone is fighting their own battle and
trying to learn something new every day.
7-Limit your social media intake
I’m not a particularly self-conscious person
(I’d like to think I’m average), but I am aware of the kind of effect scrolling
through tons of posts of all my friends’ ‘best foot forward’ moments can have
on me. You start comparing at least a little, worry if you fall short, and
pretty soon you can get sucked into this vicious cycle of wondering wherein the life you went wrong.
8-Avoid
people who like to compare/have negative mindsets. Related to one, but don’t
surround yourself with folks who are constant nay-sayers, always focused on the
negatives, etc.
9-Try to remember your dreams
Most
people will say they cannot remember their dreams or that they don’t dream at
all. We all dream multiple times during the night. You can train your mind to
remember your dreams by lying absolutely still without thought. Dreams reflect
our unconscious feelings. It’s worth paying attention to your unconscious
emotional state. You might be enlightened.
10-Think what makes you happy
Choose
three things that make you happy. Turn up the corners of your mouth into a big
smile. Your happy thoughts will be forefront in your consciousness all day
long.
11- Spend time with positive people
Spending
time with positive people can help you see the world from a fresh perspective. Hanging
out with a bubbly and positive girl for even 15 minutes is more empowering than
spending a whole day with a negative person.
12- Start your day in a positive way.
How you
start your day usually sets the tone for the rest of your day.
So be
careful about how you spend your mornings. If you get going at full speed, lost
in future troubles in your mind then the stress, perceived loss of power over your life, and negative thoughts will ramp up quickly.
If
you, on the other hand, start your day by moving slowly, by having an uplifting
conversation with your family or friend or you spend some time reading or
listening to inspiring and helpful articles or podcasts over breakfast or
during your bus ride to work then that can make a big difference for how your the whole day will go.
13-Start to appreciate
Start
to appreciate small things that you have got in your life and by not being
constantly dissatisfied with the big things that you don’t have. With time you
will know these small things you appreciated will help you bring the big things
in your life. It is what that matters to give us a positive mindset.
14-Stop expectations
You may have a soulmate, family, friends, etc. Never
expect anything from anyone. They came into your life is the best to reward you.
Having this spirit reduces the chances of hurting your loved
ones.
15-Stop worrying about the future results
Philosophically,
Nothing belongs to you and vice versa. Especially, the time.
You
can not make your future now. Rather, you can convert your current
endeavors into your bright future. So, act now with full of your energy
without fear and hope
