30 ways to celebrate eid during coronavirus

Eid in the Arabic language Is the word meaning Happiness; Celebration There is joy and excitement.

The world of Islam Celebrates two Eids every year Eid al-Fitr and Eid al- Adha. This Eid-ul-Fitr festival, which covers a whole day, is also known as the "Little Eid" and is related to Eid-ul-Adha because Eid-ul-Adha consists of three days and is also called the "Big Eid".

The moon:   You should see the moon and pray for all the world and thanks to god to have another joy and happiness moment in your life.

Shopping: In this pandemic situation you should order your cloth and gifts online to protect yourself.

Clean your house. Balloons, banners, and lights are staples of making your home look festive. This Eid, include your car. Clean and decorate it as well. You’ll see why in a tip below.

Order your Eid feast if you can afford it. While cooking up a storm is an Eid day cultural staple, this year, consider ordering in. Restaurants have been hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis, and while most are closed for eating in, many are offering takeout and delivery. If it’s too expensive to order a full meal, choose an entree or just dessert.

Bring out the BBQ. With the weather warming up by Eid in colder parts of the U.S. and Canada, this is a great time to break out the grill or borrow one and hold an Eid BBQ in the yard.

Visit a new hiking trail. Heading outdoors while maintaining the required physical distance has been recommended during the quarantine, especially for exercise. Visit a new place for a change of scenery and to take some great photos in your Eid day finery.

Choose an Eid-related Zoom background. Whoever you will be in touch with on Eid day on Zoom will probably enjoy seeing a festive background far more than another wall or bookshelf. Google “eid zoom backgrounds” for ideas.

Give gifts: If you're on a tight budget, can you make something and give it to those you feel close to? It could be as simple as your first attempt at chocolate cake or a box of cookies. The point is to share and enjoy this blessed day with a fellow Muslim.

Call your family: Schedule a specific time to call your family and to wish them, Eid Mubarak. Even if you feel lonely in your community, hearing your family's voice should give you a great boost on Eid day.

Send Eid cards: Sending Eid cards via e-mail or snail mail to family and friends on Eid day is a great way to keep your mind on the holiday. Don't just write a standard greeting on each card. Write a couple of lines, especially on cards for family and close friends, about how you've been doing, your hopes for them, and how you spent your Eid day.

Zoom or Facetime with grandparents or older relatives to wish them “Eid Mubarak”! and have them share Eid memories. Many grandparents or great-grandparents remember a time when Eid was a much smaller affair and making it fun for their kids was a challenge - kind of like Ramadan and Eid in quarantine this year. Ask them how they made Eid special with the limited resources they had.

Zoom or Facetime with anyone you know who is alone on Eid day in isolation to wish them “Eid Mubarak”!

For kids, open Eid presents together over Zoom or Facetime. This will offer a shared and memorable experience.

Host an Eid day Minecraft or gaming tournament. Play your favorite online games together.

End the day with Dua and Sadaqa. Cap off a unique Eid day with Dua and an online donation to the charity of your choice. Give whatever you can afford, thanking Allah for this opportunity, and the many blessings you were able to experience despite the challenging circumstances.

Share Eid with your neighbor: Invite them over and serve them great food, some "ethnic" and some not too unfamiliar to them. If they are non-Muslims, explain briefly what Eid is about.
